Upon detection, the next thing to do is to choose from a variety of ways on how to kill them. You can choose from an array of parasite-repellant and parasite-killing products in the market.
Products are in two kinds: natural and chemical. Below are some flea and tick remedies that you can try out with your pet:
1. External parasites can be dabbed with alcohol with the use of a cotton ball. Alcohol slows down the movement of the fleas which is why it is easy for you to catch them. Then, you can drown the flea in a cup of water. Such cup has to be emptied into the toilet and flushed immediately before your tiny enemies can escape.
2. Another option in store for you is the use of liquid soap to help release the ticks. It is not easily to end the life of a tick so you can do a few things to do so and these include wrapping it in a tissue then flushing it or drowning it in alcohol.
Try applying pest shampoos and sprays on your pet to see if it works in killing the pests.
4. Use tick scoop or tweezers to manually catch and pull the tick. The entire tick has to be taken off, ensuring not to leave any of its body part on the pet.
5. Use pyrethrin dip. You also have to treat the house to keep it free from pests. This method is an effective flea and tick treatment procedure.
